Welcome to the fourth installment of i.e. with ralph and tim! This week we decided to offer up a few visuals with the commentary.
I’ve been curious about all the new contraptions appearing on Riverside’s street light and traffic light fixtures, so I went out last week to take a few photos so I could show them to Tim to see if he knew anything about them. We both figured the best way to show them to YOU was to post them here as our first blog entry.
Know anything about these things? Know anyone who might?

- Smart Riverside wi-fi box. We think.

- Q-tip? Dum-dum? Root beer barrel on a stick? Shop-vac filter?

- A rare sighting of a…? Well mounted but apparently not connected?

- Tim thinks this is some sort of radio transmitter. A MARTI antenna?

- Keeping an eye on the Union Pacific? Keep it moving, U.P.

- If you live in Riverside you’ve seen this. Anyone know the story?

Hi Ralph and Tim,
Stopped by to listen to your program…Enjoyed it very much!
I will add you to my blog list today:)
Have a great week!
Smiles,
Kay

I think that the one with the ‘rootbeer barrel on a stick’ is really an old-fashioned film reel on a stick, another episode in Rivercide’s Quixotic quest to be all things Ellay. Also typically Riversidian: the fact that film reels are outdated.
The “Q-tip, dum dum, rootbeer barrel on a stick, shop vac filter” is an air quality sensor… I think…
