SHOW #8: RIDING IN RIVERSIDE – ONE PASSENGER’S TAKE ON I.E. PUBLIC TRANSIT

We spent a recent August afternoon talking with UCR graduate student and author of the local blog “Riding in Riverside“, Justin Nelson.

In addition to being an expert public transit user, Justin is currently the coordinator of CalPIRG (California Public Interest Research Group) UC Riverside’s public transit campaign.

Justin Nelson gets us informed about the state of public transit in Riverside.

We discuss the complete public transit system that once existed throughout the Inland Empire (and the rest of the L.A. Basin) and examine today’s attempts to get more people out of their cars and into a more efficient transportation mode.
